IO Interactive regains Project Fantasy control after Xbox exit; Istanbul studio shut down

IO Interactive has regained full ownership of Project Fantasy, its ambitious RPG, after Xbox withdrew from a publishing and funding agreement. As a result, the developer shut down its Istanbul studio and laid off an unspecified number of employees in order to restructure the business. The company said it is working to find "a new balance" to support the project alongside future titles.
