Locarno 2026: Hong Sang-soo, Basil Da Cunh and Denis Côté in main competition

The Locarno Film Festival has unveiled the lineup for its 79th edition, running 5–15 August. The main International Competition features new films from Hong Sang-soo, Basil Da Cunh, Gurvinder Singh and Denis Côté. The festival will open with the world premiere of Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh's "The Green Eyes" on Piazza Grande.
