Hundreds of snakes including cobras escape flooded farms in southern China

Hundreds of snakes, including cobras and king ratsnakes, have escaped from flooded breeding farms in Hengzhou, in China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The flooding was triggered by heavy rainfall from typhoon Maysak. Local authorities have warned nearby residents to be on alert. Snake farms in the region supply meat and traditional medicine markets.
