PiS fails to gain in polls despite hospital scandal — Konfederacja rises

Despite a hospital scandal damaging the ruling Civic Coalition (KO), PiS is not gaining ground in opinion polls. Instead, Konfederacja is growing in support, driven largely by Sławomir Mentzen. PiS politicians have been attempting to discredit Mentzen by surfacing old controversial statements, but according to Wirtualna Polska journalist Michał Wróblewski, the strategy is not working.
