Galactic centre gamma-ray glow still consistent with dark matter, study finds

An international team including researchers from the University of Vienna and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has reanalysed the mysterious gamma-ray glow from the Milky Way's centre using machine learning. Their findings indicate that the hypothesis of dark matter contributing to this radiation cannot easily be ruled out. The mystery remains unresolved and research is ongoing.
