Sprint star Gout Gout tears hamstring, misses World U20 Championships

Australian sprint sensation Gout Gout, 18, has suffered a serious hamstring tear during training in Brisbane and will miss the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in August. He had been targeting the 200m under-20 world title. The teenager announced the injury on social media and vowed to return in 2027 "better and faster and stronger".
