NASA's New Horizons probe wakes from hibernation to explore beyond Pluto

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft has woken from an extended hibernation period, during which it conserved power while travelling through the outer solar system. The probe is continuing its mission to explore the region beyond Pluto, in the Kuiper Belt. New Horizons is best known for its historic flyby of Pluto in 2015.
