Salli Richardson-Whitfield makes Emmy history again with two drama directing noms

Salli Richardson-Whitfield, who made Emmy history in 2024 as the first Black woman nominated for drama series directing, has done it again — earning two directing nominations simultaneously for HBO's "The Gilded Age" and "Task." The double nomination is unprecedented for a Black woman in the Emmy drama directing category.
