Poland's referee chief: Marciniak's chances of refereeing World Cup final are slim

Marcin Szulc, head of the PZPN referees' committee, said that Szymon Marciniak's chances of officiating the 2026 World Cup final are slim, describing the path there as "difficult." The Polish referee is, however, being considered for a quarter-final appointment. Marciniak famously refereed the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.
