Egypt Questions Fairness of 3-2 World Cup Loss to Argentina After Refereeing Row
The Egyptian Football Association has released a statement questioning the "fairness" of its 3-2 last-16 World Cup defeat to Argentina. Egypt had taken a 1-0 lead through Yasser Ibrahim, before Mostafa Ziko's goal was disallowed via VAR — referee François Letexier ruled Marwan Attia had fouled in the build-up. The association cited "serious concerns" over what it called "controversial and influential incidents".
