ChatGPT can now speak and listen simultaneously with new GPT-Live architecture

OpenAI has launched GPT-Live, a full-duplex model that allows ChatGPT to listen and speak simultaneously, making AI conversations feel more natural. Complex questions are handled in the background by GPT-5.5, greatly improving response quality. GPT-Live-1 is now available for paying ChatGPT users, with a mini version for free accounts and API access coming soon.
