Trump agrees to let Ukraine manufacture its own Patriot missiles

US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit that Washington would grant Kyiv a licence to manufacture its own Patriot air-defence missiles. Patriot interceptors are currently the only system in Ukraine's arsenal capable of shooting down Russian ballistic missiles. The move could significantly strengthen Ukraine's long-term air defence capacity.
