Trump vaguely promises Ukraine a licence to manufacture Patriot missile interceptors

Donald Trump told Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine may be licensed to manufacture Patriot missile interceptors, which would be a significant diplomatic win for Kyiv in its fight against Russian ballistic missile attacks. The commitment was vaguely framed, and Trump admitted he had not yet spoken to Patriot system producers Lockheed Martin and RTX Corporation. It also remains unclear how quickly or affordably production of the expensive, complex munitions could be scaled up.
