How Jagiełło pacified Greater Poland in 1386
In spring 1386, Władysław Jagiełło arrived in Greater Poland (Wielkopolska), which had been ravaged by years of civil war. His intervention ended the bloodiest phase of the conflict, though not all disputes were settled. The campaign also allowed the king to establish a political base in the oldest region of Poland.
