European Social Mobility Atlas Links Intergenerational Mobility to Regional Innovation

Researchers have created the EUROPE-IGM-ATLAS, a tool mapping spatiotemporal trends in intergenerational mobility across Europe, published in Nature. The atlas reveals how the geography of opportunity has shifted over time and how it relates to regional innovation. Higher levels of social mobility are shown to correlate with greater regional innovation activity.
