Humanoid robots perform laparoscopic surgery on live subjects in feasibility study

A systematic in vivo feasibility study found that today's humanoid robots can perform laparoscopic surgical tasks via teleoperation. The evaluation highlighted both the promise of humanoid robots in the operating theatre and important technical hurdles that must be overcome before clinical use. It is the most comprehensive assessment of humanoid robots in surgery to date.
