European Parliament says Ukraine's UPA commemoration harms neighbourly relations
The European Parliament adopted a resolution on Ukraine that includes an amendment, proposed by European Coalition MEPs, stating that Ukraine's commemoration of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) harms good neighbourly relations. A more radical proposal put forward by PiS MEPs was rejected. The UPA issue has long been a source of tension between Poland and Ukraine, particularly regarding the Volhynia massacres.
