Doctor Balicki: better queue monitoring is not enough, Polish healthcare has hit a wall
Health expert and former hospital director Marek Balicki criticised Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda's proposal to improve monitoring of patient waiting lists. Balicki argues that transparency matters, but seriously ill patients need faster access to care, not a better view of the queue. He warns that the Polish healthcare system has been repeating the same mistake for years and has now hit a wall.
