Polish Medical Chamber warns 240 zł/h wage cap risks staffing collapse in district hospitals
The Supreme Medical Chamber (NIL) has criticised Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda's reform proposals, saying they are a repeat of ideas already floated last autumn. NIL spokesman Piotr Pisula warned that capping doctors' pay at 240 zł per hour risks triggering a staffing collapse in district hospitals, as physicians may leave for better-paid positions elsewhere.
