China's vulnerability database warns of backdoor in Anthropic's Claude Code versions 2.1.91–2.1.196

China's National Vulnerability Database (NVDB), linked to the Chinese government, has warned that Anthropic's Claude Code versions 2.1.91 through 2.1.196 contain a monitoring mechanism that transmits geographic location and user-identifying data to remote servers without user consent. The NVDB recommends uninstalling the affected versions or updating to version 2.1.200, released on July 3. Anthropic has not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
