Polish Watchdog and Police Search BIK and Three Banks Over Credit Scoring Irregularities

Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), with court authorisation and police assistance, searched the premises of the Credit Information Bureau (BIK), ING Bank Śląski, mBank and mBank Hipoteczny. The searches were conducted over suspected irregularities in the assessment of consumers' creditworthiness. It is one of the most significant coordinated regulatory actions against the Polish banking sector in recent years.
