Trump revives Greenland claim at NATO summit — allies warn hands off

At the NATO summit in Ankara, Donald Trump reiterated that Greenland "should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark" and expressed dissatisfaction with the alliance over the issue. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen responded that NATO stands ready to defend "every inch" of its territory, invoking the alliance's founding mutual-defence principle. European leaders united in warning Trump to leave the Danish territory alone.
