IOC lifts ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes — Poland objects

The International Olympic Committee has reinstated the Russian Olympic Committee and lifted the ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes competing internationally. Former Polish Olympic Committee spokesman Andrzej Person called the decision "an unbelievable scandal" and said Poland cannot endorse it. He highlighted the case of a Ukrainian athlete expelled from the Games for displaying photos of killed sportspeople on his helmet.
