Germany to nearly triple defence budget to €184 bn by 2030

Germany has planned to increase its defence spending from €66.9 billion in 2024 to €183.7 billion in 2030, despite a growing budget deficit. That already amounts to more than twice Poland's current military expenditure. The dramatic rise is part of a broader European rearmament trend following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
