Polish oilseed crushers face 1.3m-tonne rapeseed shortfall, demand border reopening
The Polish Oil Producers' Association (PSPO) warned on Thursday that this year's rapeseed harvest will fall short of 2025 levels, leaving Polish crushing plants with a potential deficit of up to 1.3 million tonnes of grain. The industry is calling for the immediate lifting of the ban on importing rapeseed from Ukraine, imposed to protect domestic farmers. Without Ukrainian supplies, several processing plants could face serious shortages.
