Meta patches Ray-Ban smart glasses: destroying privacy LED won't disable camera

Meta has updated the firmware of its Ray-Ban smart glasses after it was found that physically destroying the privacy LED — which signals when the camera is active — allowed covert recording. The new patch is designed to prevent that workaround. Researchers warn, however, that further bypass methods could still emerge in the future.
