Polish Left proposes raising widow's pension to 50% and removing age restrictions
Poland's widow's pension currently allows combining a survivor's pension with a retirement benefit at 15% of the second payment, rising to 25% from January next year. The Left party is pushing to raise this to 50% and extend eligibility to all widows and widowers, removing the existing age restriction. The proposal would require changes to current legislation.
