Tick-borne encephalitis spreads to all Polish regions amid medicine shortage
Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) has now been recorded in all 16 Polish voivodeships, with 99% of patients requiring hospitalisation. The highest case numbers are in the Podlaskie, Mazowieckie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie regions. The situation is worsened by a shortage of medication to treat the brain-attacking disease.
