Nintendo Switch 2 gets EU-specific version due to battery regulations

EU battery regulations taking effect in mid-February 2027 have forced Nintendo to redesign its Switch 2 console for the European market. The Japanese company announced a new EU-specific version of the Switch 2 and confirmed that older models will be withdrawn from sale. Technical details of the updated version have been disclosed.
