Lviv regional council proposes 2027 as Year of UPA commander Shukhevych

The cultural committee of the Lviv Regional Council has proposed declaring 2027 the Year of UPA commander Roman Shukhevych and OUN activist Oleh Olzhych in the Lviv region. The announcement was published on the council's website. The proposal risks further straining Polish-Ukrainian relations amid ongoing disputes over the Volhynia massacre commemoration.
