Polish unemployment at 5.8% in June — near zero in Poznań, 22% in Szydłowiec

Poland's registered unemployment rate fell to 5.8% at the end of June 2026, down 0.1 percentage points from May, according to the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. The number of registered unemployed dropped by 13,200 month-on-month to 902,700. Unemployment was lowest in Poznań and highest in Szydłowiec, where 22% of the workforce is jobless.
