Germans still fuel up in Poland despite end of cheap-fuel scheme and higher prices
Despite Germany ending its government fuel subsidy programme (CPN), German drivers continue to cross into Poland to fill up their tanks, particularly at the station in Lubieszyn. Staff report: "They keep coming back, jerrycans haven't disappeared." Polish fuel prices remain significantly lower than those in Germany, sustaining cross-border fuel tourism.
