Microsoft closes Double Fine, Ninja Theory and two other studios in largest Xbox restructuring

Microsoft has confirmed the largest restructuring in Xbox history: 3,200 employees are being laid off and four studios — Double Fine, Compulsion Games, Ninja Theory and Undead Labs — are being shut down or divested. Arkane Lyon is also in talks about leaving the company. The moves form the backdrop to the id Software layoffs that overshadowed the launch of Doom: The Dark Ages.
