NFZ chief Filip Nowak at centre of storm over Warsaw's Szpital Południowy

Filip Nowak, head of Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ), has become the focal point of a political storm surrounding the Szpital Południowy hospital in Warsaw. Some politicians and health experts blame him for chaos within the NFZ, while others argue he is a scapegoat for deeper systemic failures. PiS MP and former deputy health minister Bolesław Piecha said Nowak's main role in recent months has been simply to remain in his post.
