Polish Billionaire Sołowow Plans £35bn, 14-Reactor Nuclear Build in UK

Polish billionaire Michał Sołowow's company SGE (Synthos Green Energy) has announced a £35bn plan to build 14 GE Vernova Hitachi BWRX-300 small modular reactors across three UK sites — six at the primary location and four each at two secondary sites. The project aims to deliver 4.2 GW of power from 2034, enough to power 8 million homes for over 60 years. SGE is seeking UK government backing and guaranteed energy prices before opening the project to investors. The announcement comes amid a global revival of interest in small modular reactor technology.
