Heatwave threatens French corn harvest — output may fall 30%

Corn futures on the MATIF exchange have risen by several percent since mid-June as heatwaves threaten French harvests. PKO BP analysts warn that production in France could fall by as much as 30%. Another wave of high temperatures is expected to worsen the outlook further, with crops reportedly in their worst condition in 13 years.
