Salzburg bans day-trippers' cars from historic centre all summer

Throughout the summer, Salzburg will ban day-trippers from driving into the historic city centre as part of measures to tackle severe tourist-season congestion. Visitors arriving for a single day will instead be directed to use bus services. The initiative targets the surge of short-stay tourists that clogs the Mozart-birthplace city each summer.
