Australia drops investigations into ex-anti-corruption chief Brereton over cost
Australia's National Anti-Corruption Commission inspector Gail Furness has ended two ongoing investigations into former NACC commissioner Paul Brereton, citing the inability to justify the expenditure. Brereton's resignation was also a key factor in the decision. Furness stated that the systemic issues identified in the complaints have since been satisfactorily addressed.
