From 8 July, labour inspectors can reclassify B2B contracts as employment
New rules reforming Poland's State Labour Inspectorate took effect on 8 July, granting inspectors the power to reclassify business-to-business or civil-law contracts as standard employment contracts. An inspector will be able to determine whether a contractor should legally be considered an employee. The change could significantly affect thousands of self-employed workers and companies relying on flexible employment arrangements.
