How McCartney and Lennon co-wrote "I Want to Hold Your Hand"

In the early Beatles years, John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote songs face to face, working line by line at the same instrument. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was composed this way in the basement of Jane Asher's London home, at a single piano. This intimate creative process produced many of the band's greatest hits.
