IOC provisionally lifts suspension of Russian Olympic Committee ahead of LA 2028

The International Olympic Committee provisionally lifted its suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee on Tuesday, moving Russian athletes and teams closer to competing under their flag and anthem at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The decision was taken despite strong objections from Ukraine. A full return to Olympic competition for Russia is not yet finalised.
