Meta's new AI image tool enables deepfakes on Instagram – opt out now

Meta has launched a new AI image generation tool that can be used to create deepfake images of other Instagram users. A journalist tested it by producing a convincing fake image of a friend without their knowledge. Instagram users are strongly advised to opt out of the relevant AI setting in their privacy controls immediately.
