Pokémon Winds & Waves rumour of 300 new Pokémon divides fans
An unconfirmed rumour claims that Pokémon Winds and Waves, the first mainline Pokémon games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, will introduce 300 new Pokémon — one of the highest counts in the franchise's history. The games were announced as part of Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebration and are due sometime in 2026, but The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have shared no further details since the reveal.
