US energy lobby and White House pressure Brussels to delay methane emission rules

The US oil and gas sector, backed by the Trump White House, is lobbying Brussels to delay stricter methane emission regulations in the EU. Having successfully exported large volumes of gas to Europe, the industry now appears to be exporting the Trump administration's deregulatory agenda as well. Brussels is reportedly considering postponing the planned rules.
