US Navy developing defences for ballistic missile subs against drone and rocket threats in port

The US Navy is developing new defensive technologies to protect its ballistic missile submarines from drones, mines and anti-tank rockets while in port or transiting on the surface. Ukraine's claimed underwater drone strike on a Russian submarine in Novorossiysk demonstrated the reality of the threat. The Navy is working on prototype systems to detect, track, identify and defeat unmanned vehicles threatening submarines and their shore installations.
