New 'Ghost in the Shell' creators on staying true to Shirow's 1989 manga

Director Mokochan and character designer Shuhei Handa of Science SARU discussed how their new adaptation of the cyberpunk franchise "Ghost in the Shell" was created. The duo stressed the project was born from a passion for Masamune Shirow's original 1989 manga. A central challenge was keeping the character of Motoko faithful to her manga origins.
