Trump signals F-35 sale to Turkey, dismissing concerns over Russian S-400

US President Donald Trump signalled during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara on Tuesday that his administration is considering selling F-35 fighter jets to Turkey. Trump said there were "no concerns" about Turkey's possession of the Russian S-400 air defence system. The possible deal has angered Israel, which strongly opposes transferring advanced fighters to Ankara.
