Crowdfunded Cast Album Released for Controversial Anne Frank Musical "Slam Frank"
"Slam Frank", a musical reimagining Anne Frank's story through an "intersectional, multiethnic, genderqueer, Afro-Latin hip-hop lens", has released a crowdfunded cast album ahead of the show's Off-Broadway return. The recording was financed by public donations. The production has been controversial from the start due to its unconventional take on the Holocaust story.
