Jermaine Dupri sues Sony Music for $18 million in unpaid royalties
Music producer Jermaine Dupri has filed an $18 million lawsuit against Sony Music Entertainment, accusing the company of failing to properly pay royalties. The suit covers releases by Mariah Carey, Usher, Xscape and Kris Kross, among others. Filed on Monday, the lawsuit alleges Sony's conduct "has not been lawful" dating back years.
