Animal shelter abuse case in Wojtyszki still awaiting court verdict
The trial concerning the animal shelter in Wojtyszki — dubbed a "death house for animals" by activists — has still not concluded with a verdict, even though both sides have delivered their closing arguments. The case was expected to be a landmark ruling for animal protection law in Poland. A lawyer involved in the case revealed a shocking defence argument: the attorney compared the animals' feeding conditions to the food served in homeless shelters.
